Stella Maris Yacht Club’s Sant Carles Spain base is truly operational!

A multinational fleet is gathering at Stella Maris Yacht Club’s (SMYC) base at Sant Carles Marina in Spain. SMYC Sant Carles opened its doors for business this summer and it is proving to be a great success. Members of Stella Maris Yachting’s (SMY) exclusive Yacht Club are taking advantage of the excellent members’ berthing rates on the Club pontoon as well as the guardianage and maintenance packages on offer. The Club is headed up by Roberto Just who joined the SMY team in September. He is a very experienced mariner who lives in the local area. He not only has the task of looking after Yacht Club members but also has the brief to find excellent local contractors who will work to the standards required by Stella Maris Yachting.

Five yachts have already arrived for the winter, all in excess of 50ft LOA and more are on their way. All are already familiar with Stella Maris Yachting’s excellent service and have signed up to become members of the Stella Maris Yacht Club to take advantage of the benefits, services and products offered through membership. Membership is free and new members are always welcome. Details can be found here.

Several owners have already had maintenance carried out by Stella Maris Yachting previously and are longstanding clients. “We decided to open a facility in Spain early this year and we are delighted that it is now fully operational,” says Craig Murray of Stella Maris Yachting. “Our manager in Sant Carles has lived and worked in the area for a long time and this is important to us. We are very keen to employ local people and local contractors who are able to operate to the high standards that we demand of our team in our UK facility. Sant Carles is our Mediterranean hub and over the next 12 months we will start opening other facilities across the Mediterranean. However, it is great to see a fleet of high value cruising yachts putting their confidence in our service this winter in Sant Carles. Recently an 82 foot yacht made the crossing from Palma, Mallorca to have work carried out by us in Sant Carles.
